Joe Sta-Romana is the US Chief Customer Officer for Haleon, a globally leading consumer company that is solely focused on better everyday health, including category-leading brands such as Advil, Centrum, Parodontax, Sensodyne, Theraflu, and TUMS.
Joe joined Haleon in December 2024 and is an integral part of the US Leadership Team, spearheading the customer strategy and driving growth. Joe's approach focuses on customer-centric strategies, utilizing advanced data analytics and enhanced digital solutions. He aims to forge stronger partnerships with key retailers, ensuring Haleon remains a trusted and valuable partner.
Over his 21-year career in Consumer Packaged Goods, Joe has held a variety of roles. In his most recent role as Senior Vice President at Unilever, Joe led the Walmart Global Team, achieving remarkable results in sales, category management, and insights. Prior to that, Joe was the Unilever Head of Channel Strategy and Planning, Thailand. Joe has spent most of his career on large US account teams, including Kroger, Target, and Walmart while at P&G and then Unilever.
A veteran, Joe is a graduate of the U.S. Army Airborne School and served as a U.S. Army officer and was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal at the completion of his service. Culminating to the rank of Captain, he was primarily assigned to the Third Armored Corps and held numerous roles, including Battalion Intelligence Officer and Brigade Logistics Officer.
Joe received his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and Political Science from West Point and MBA from Texas A&M. He is the current President of the Northwest Arkansas West Point Alumni Association (Ozarks Region) and on the service academy nomination committee for Congressman Steve Womack.
Joe and his spouse, Jona, have two children, Joey and Jolina. He enjoys mountain biking, running, and working on classic cars.
